Pytes V5° battery with built-in heating
How does it work?
The integrated battery heating system is powered exclusively by the charging source, such as the inverter or charge controller (regardless of the devices supplying current to charge the battery). The heater draws up to 180 W from the charging source (per battery) and will heat the battery by up to 10°C per hour. The heater operates within a typical operating range of -20°C to 10°C. If the battery temperature drops below 5°C, the heater will switch on, using power from the charging source to raise the temperature to 10°C. If the battery temperature is between 2°C and 5°C, the heater will switch on and the battery will be charged (at the same time) until the battery reaches a temperature of 10°C, at which point the heater will switch off and the battery will continue to be charged. If the battery is below 2°C, the charging current will be directed solely to the heating system until the battery rises above 5°C, at which point the battery will charge normally. The heating system will not affect the battery’s SOC.
The Pytes V5° battery requires 4U of space to allow the bus to connect correctly between batteries and to facilitate adequate cooling. For example, you will need a server rack of at least 12U to allow for the installation of three batteries.

The Lynx Class-T Power In connects and combines up to two strings of lithium batteries. It features a positive and negative busbar, as well as connections for two Class-T fuses and a connection for DC system earthing. Class-T fuses, available in 225A, 250A, 350A and 400A variants, must be purchased separately.
For installations using three or more strings of lithium batteries, the use of multiple Lynx Class-T modules is recommended. As a core component of the Lynx distribution system, the Lynx Class-T integrates seamlessly with all other M10 Lynx products.

The Lynx distributor includes a positive busbar and a negative busbar. The positive busbar has four connections protected by fuses with monitoring controls, whilst the negative busbar has four connections and a ground connection. It forms part of the Lynx distribution system, featuring a power LED and four LEDs to indicate the status of the fuses.
When connected to a Lynx Smart BMS, up to four Lynx distributors can transmit information about the status of the fuses, a feature not available when connected to a Lynx Shunt VE.Can.
The Lynx distributor is supplied with a 40 cm RJ10 cable, which powers the unit and, when connected to a Lynx Smart BMS, is also used for data transmission.
