Description
The Solis DLS-W WiFi module is designed to provide an affordable option for monitoring Solis inverters via the internet. This device, also known as a ‘monitoring stick’, is quick to install and allows local and remote monitoring of energy production and inverter status via a WiFi connection. Users can easily view data and other information online, requiring one stick for each Solis inverter they wish to monitor.
To install, you need to download the SolisCloud app onto your mobile phone. The setup process involves connecting the WiFi module to the green COM port located at the bottom of the inverter and securing it by tightening the black connector. It is recommended that you first connect your phone to the home network you wish to use for the WiFi logger, to check that you have the correct WiFi password and that the signal is strong enough at the inverter’s location. If the signal is weak, it is recommended that you install a WiFi extender to improve signal quality.
It is important to note that the DLS-W module only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi signals and may encounter problems if the router password is incorrect, if the router signal is weak, if there is a firewall blocking data, or if the WiFi logger’s firmware is out of date.
