The UT500 series electrical insulation testers are used to measure the insulation resistance of electrical equipment and household appliances during routine inspections. This is achieved by measuring the insulation resistance between electrical circuits or between circuits and earth (the equipment’s earth). The UT500 series can measure insulation resistance, AC voltage, low resistance, PI (polarisation index) and DAR (dielectric absorption). The individual units in the UT500 series differ from one another in their test voltage ranges (UT501A 100V to 1000V, UT501B 250V to 1000V, UT502A 500V to 2500V), maximum measured insulation resistance (UT501A 5GΩ to 5GΩ, UT502A 0MΩ to 20GΩ) and other parameters.
These testing and inspection devices ensure the correct operation of transformers, generators, high-voltage motors, power capacitors, power cables, surge arresters, circuit breakers, and electrical machinery and equipment. They are ideal devices for carrying out electrical maintenance and are manufactured in accordance with IEC 61010 and IEC 61557 standards.
