Description
This product comes with a 3-year warranty. The UT278A+ from UNI-T is a clamp-on tester for earth resistance. Based on the principle of mutual induction, it can measure earth resistance without disconnecting the earth conductors and without auxiliary electrodes, in both multi-point and single-point earthing systems. Unlike a similar instrument, the UT276A+ has an extended earth loop resistance measurement range up to 1200Ω and can also measure earth loop leakage currents in the range from 0.00 mA to 20.0 A.
The tester is designed for professional use, with resistance to shock, dust and humidity, and is controlled by microprocessors, including for the precise identification of resistance and rapid filtering of interfering signals using advanced arithmetic methods. It is designed for measuring earthing systems in power stations, power distribution and telecommunications, oil fields, computer rooms, electromechanical installations and maintenance in industrial plants, wherever electricity is used as an industrial power source, or where it is necessary to check the earthing resistance of lightning arresters. The device measures earth loop resistance from 0.01 Ω to 1200 Ω with a resolution of 0.001 Ω and leakage currents from 0 to 20 A; the measured values are displayed on a four-digit backlit EBTN display (light-on-dark background) and, at the same time, up to 30 values can be stored in the internal memory. The unit is powered by four 1.5V alkaline batteries.
