The XTRA series are advanced charge controllers for off-grid photovoltaic systems. To maximise energy output from photovoltaic panels whilst simultaneously reducing power losses across a wide range of operating conditions, the XTRA series employs an advanced intelligent algorithm that results in up to 30% more efficient charging compared to conventional PWM modulation. The XTRA series controller features protection functions limited to charging current and power, as well as automatic high-temperature power operation; these protections ensure system stability even when the rated PV power is exceeded and under high-temperature conditions.
IP32 protection rating and an isolated RS485 communication port further enhance the controller’s reliability across various application requirements. The XTRA series controllers incorporate a three-stage self-adaptive charging algorithm based on a digital control circuit, which effectively extends battery life and significantly improves system performance. It also features comprehensive electronic protection against overcharging, over-discharging, PV and battery reverse polarity, etc., to ensure the sustainability and durability of the off-grid solar system.
