The DEYE SUN-18K-SG05LP3-EU-SM2 is an 18kW three-phase hybrid inverter designed for photovoltaic installations using 40–60V low-voltage batteries. Its two battery inputs and maximum charging/discharging current of 330A make it suitable for storage systems sized for high residential or commercial energy consumption.

The inverter combines the management of photovoltaic panels, batteries, the grid, and electrical loads in a single unit. It can be added to an existing installation through AC coupling and supports the storage of energy supplied by a diesel generator. Six programmable time periods provide control over when the battery is charged and discharged.

The model supports up to 28.8kW of maximum PV input power and features two MPPT trackers, each supporting two strings. The three-phase output can operate with 100% unbalanced loads, with up to 50% of the rated power available on each phase. In off-grid mode, the unit can deliver twice its rated output for 10 seconds.

Main features

  • 18kW three-phase hybrid inverter
  • Compatible with 40–60V lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries
  • Two battery inputs
  • Maximum charging and discharging current of 330A
  • Two MPPT trackers with a 2+2 string configuration
  • Six programmable charging/discharging periods
  • AC coupling for upgrading existing photovoltaic systems
  • Up to 10 units connected in parallel for on-grid and off-grid operation
  • Supports multiple batteries connected in parallel
  • Supports energy storage from a diesel generator
  • 100% unbalanced output

Advantages

Power for demanding applications: The 18kW capacity is suitable for three-phase projects with significant loads, provided that the installation is correctly sized.

Management of a high-capacity storage system: The maximum current of 330A supports the charging and discharging of properly sized compatible batteries.

Flexible photovoltaic array: The maximum PV input power of 28.8kW and two MPPT trackers enable the efficient use of panel arrays with different orientations.

Fewer limitations between phases: The 100% unbalanced output is useful in applications where loads are not distributed equally across the phases.

Integration with multiple energy sources: The system can coordinate energy from photovoltaic panels, the grid, batteries, and a generator.

Scalability: Up to 10 inverters can be connected in parallel, allowing a properly designed installation to be expanded.

Recommended applications

  • Large homes and properties with numerous three-phase loads
  • Guesthouses, villas, and multifunctional buildings
  • Commercial premises and offices
  • Workshops and small commercial applications
  • Photovoltaic systems with high-capacity energy storage
  • Upgrading an existing installation through AC coupling
  • Systems using a generator as an additional power source
