The Canadian Solar CS6.2-54TB-520 photovoltaic panel is part of the TOPBiHiKu6 series and uses TOPCon Gen2 Bifacial technology, designed to deliver high energy output from both the front and rear sides of the module.
The model provides a nominal power of 520 W and an efficiency of 23.4% under Standard Test Conditions. The electrical parameters for the exact CS6.2-54TB-520 version are: Vmp 34.2 V, Imp 15.22 A, Voc 40.4 V and Isc 16.20 A.
TOPCon Gen2 Bifacial Technology
The bifacial design allows the panel to utilize reflected solar radiation on the rear side, in addition to the solar energy captured by the front side of the module.
Canadian Solar specifies a power bifaciality of 80% for this series, with a tolerance of ±5%. Actual bifacial gain depends on installation conditions, including mounting structure, installation height, tilt angle and the reflectivity of the surface beneath the panel.
For the 520 W model, the manufacturer specifies the following indicative values depending on bifacial gain:
- at 5% bifacial gain: up to 546 W;
- at 10% bifacial gain: up to 572 W;
- at 20% bifacial gain: up to 624 W.
High Efficiency and Low Degradation
TOPCon Gen2 technology is designed to maintain high long-term efficiency. Canadian Solar highlights excellent anti-LeTID and anti-PID performance for the TOPBiHiKu6 series, together with low power degradation and high energy yield.
The temperature coefficient for maximum power is -0.29%/°C, helping the module maintain strong performance even during periods of high temperature.
Dual-Glass Construction
The panel features a robust dual-glass construction, with glass on both sides:

2.0 mm heat-strengthened front glass with anti-reflective coating;

2.0 mm heat-strengthened rear glass;
- anodized aluminium alloy frame;

IP68 junction box with 3 bypass diodes;

4 mm² cable;
- T6 or MC4-EVO2A connector.
The module dimensions are 1961 × 1134 × 30 mm, with a weight of 27 kg.
Mechanical Resistance
The TOPBiHiKu6 series is designed for demanding outdoor conditions. The module is tested for:
- snow loads of up to 5400 Pa;
- wind loads of up to 2400 Pa;
- hail impact with ice balls up to 35 mm in diameter, according to IEC 61215.
The dual-glass construction helps protect the cells and reduces the impact of micro-cracks on module performance.
Long-Term Performance
Canadian Solar specifies a maximum power degradation of 1% in the first year, followed by a maximum annual degradation of 0.4% in subsequent years.
The linear power performance warranty is 30 years, while the product warranty for materials and workmanship is 15 years, subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions.
