The DEYE SUN-14K-SG05LP3-EU-SM2 is a 14kW three-phase hybrid inverter designed for photovoltaic systems with low-voltage battery storage. Its 40–60V battery architecture and two dedicated battery inputs allow for a flexible system configuration, suitable for homes with high energy consumption, guesthouses, offices, workshops, and small commercial premises.

The inverter manages the energy generated by the solar panels, battery, grid, and loads within a single unit. It can be integrated through AC coupling into an existing photovoltaic system and supports the storage of energy supplied by a diesel generator. Six programmable time periods for battery charging and discharging help adapt the system to the consumption profile and energy tariffs.

The model supports up to 22.4kW of maximum PV input power and uses two MPPT trackers, each supporting two strings. In three-phase operation, the output can be 100% unbalanced, with each phase supplying up to 50% of the inverter’s rated power. For loads with high starting currents, the off-grid output can temporarily reach twice the rated power for 10 seconds.

Main features

  • 14kW three-phase hybrid inverter
  • Compatible with 40–60V lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries
  • Two battery inputs
  • Maximum charging and discharging current of 260A
  • Two MPPT trackers with a 2+2 string configuration
  • Six programmable battery charging/discharging time periods
  • AC coupling function for upgrading an existing photovoltaic system
  • Supports the parallel connection of up to 10 inverters for on-grid and off-grid operation
  • Supports multiple batteries connected in parallel
  • Supports energy storage from a diesel generator
  • 100% unbalanced three-phase output
  • Wi-Fi, RS485, and CAN communication
  • IP65 protection rating

Advantages

Greater storage flexibility: The low-voltage battery system and two battery inputs make it easier to configure a storage capacity suited to the project.

Improved use of solar energy: The oversized PV input capacity compared with the AC output extends the daily production window, provided that the technical string limits are observed.

Reliable power delivery under real operating conditions: The unbalanced output function provides improved management of loads distributed unevenly across the three phases.

Integration into an existing system: AC coupling allows storage and hybrid functions to be added to an existing photovoltaic installation.

Control adapted to the consumption schedule: Six time periods allow battery charging and discharging to be programmed.

Future expansion: Up to 10 units can operate in parallel, provided that the system is designed and configured in accordance with the manufacturer’s documentation.

Recommended applications

  • Three-phase homes with high energy consumption
  • Guesthouses and large residential buildings
  • Offices, practices, and commercial premises
  • Workshops and small commercial applications
  • New photovoltaic systems or upgrades to existing systems through AC coupling
  • Systems with battery storage and an additional generator power source

Exact compatibility depends on the battery model, BMS protocol, and firmware version. We recommend checking compatibility before purchase.

The photovoltaic strings must be designed so that the voltage, current, and power remain within the limits of each MPPT, including under the minimum and maximum temperature conditions at the installation site.

Protection and safety

The inverter includes DC reverse-polarity protection, AC output overcurrent protection, thermal protection, AC overvoltage protection, AC output short-circuit protection, DC component monitoring, AFCI, anti-islanding protection, a DC switch, insulation impedance detection, and residual current monitoring. Surge protection is Type II on the DC side and Type II on the AC side.
