The equalizer equalizes/balances the battery voltage when it detects that there is a 20mV difference between the two batteries. It transfers current from one battery (the one with the higher voltage) to the other battery (the one with the lower voltage), until the voltage of the batteries becomes the same. This will improve performance and increase battery life.
