Solar charge controllers
A solar charger collects energy from solar panels and stores it in your batteries. Using the latest, fastest technology, SmartSolar maximizes this energy collection, managing it intelligently to get a full charge in the shortest possible time. SmartSolar maintains battery health, extending battery life.
MPPT: Ultra fast maximum power point tracking
By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of the solar panels (PV), MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available energy is taken from the panels and collected for storage. The advantage of this is most visible when the sky is partly cloudy, and the light intensity is constantly changing.
Remote control and monitoring of your charger's extensive features SmartSolar MPPT by attaching a Bluetooth key and pairing it with your smart phone or other device through VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the Victron Remote Management Internet Portal (VRM) gives you access to the full power of your MPPT, anytime, anywhere; both services are free. For remote installations - even when there is no internet connection or phone signal nearby - you may be able to monitor your MPPT via Bluetooth pairing with a device LoRaWAN(wide-area network), optionally available.
The intelligent load output function prevents damage caused by running flat batteries. You can set the voltage at which SmartSolar disconnects a charge - preventing excessive battery discharge. And here's the smart feature: SmartSolar will attempt a recharge of 100% every day. If it can't - during periods of bad weather - it increases the disconnection voltage, daily, until it successfully accomplishes this. We call this feature BatteryLife because it maintains battery health and extends battery life.
