BMV-712 Smart Black, Victron Energy

With the new built-in Bluetooth function, the new BMV-712 is ready for the Internet age. As Bluetooth functionality is built into most Victron Energy products, wireless communication between products will simplify product installation and increase system performance.

By using a smartphone or any other Bluetooth-enabled device, you can :
-customize the settings;
- monitor all important data on the screen of the device connected to the BMV;
-to view historical data;
- update the software when new features become available;

Easy to install.
All electrical connections can be made quickly and easily with the power cord.
The current source is connected to the BMV via an RJ12 cable. Also included in the kit are the battery fuse cable, a separate front mask for a square or round look, as well as the fixing screws.

Blood pressure monitoring 
A faulty cell in a battery or even a faulty battery in a battery bank can destroy the entire bank.
When the batteries are connected in series, a timely warning can be generated by measuring the middle voltage.
The recommendation from the manufacturer, Victron Energy in particular, is to use a Battery Balancer or a balancing equalizer in terms of battery charge level, its role in the system is to equalize and balance the state of charge of 2 or more batteries connected in series or several batteries connected in parallel.

Low current drawn from batteries
Current consumption: 0.7 Ah per month (1mA) at 12V and 0.6Ah per month (0.8mA) at 24V.
Li-Ion batteries have almost no spare capacity left when they are fully discharged.
After the battery is switched off due to low cell voltage, the capacity reserve of a Li-Ion battery is about 1Ah per 100Ah battery capacity. At the same time, the battery will be damaged if the remaining capacity reserve in the battery is consumed.
A residual current of 10mA can, for example, damage a 200 Ah battery if the system is left in a discharged state for more than 8 days.

Bi-stable alarm relay
Prevents the current absorption in case of an alarm.
